Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection mechanisms are essential to any application that interfaces with the outside world, ranging from consumer, industrial to medical markets. A recurrent problem within such highly static charged environments when using barcode readers can be sudden ESD which can prove detrimental to a devices functionality. The Q-Code 63 ESD Protection barcode reader is tailor made to isolate itself from the surrounding objects in order to ensure the consistently high performance offered by our Q-Code range with minimal risk of failure due to ESD. This is ensured by designing 2 main fortification layers for unwanted charge to penetrate before it can affect the CPU. These are the Q-Protect housing, specifically featured on the Q-Code 63, and the built-in ESD protection integrated on the devices circuitry.
The reader comes with capability to read both 1D and 2D barcodes courtesy of the Q-Engine, scanning at 300 times each second with 3 mil precision. The Q-Engine is even optimised to read from a mobile, tablet or computer screen. Barcode reading can be executed using the AutoSense, Continuous or Manual Trigger modes. The Q-Cable is developed to facilitate the high performance of this engine with its industry leading ability to deliver in terms of data transmission and durability. The on board software can offer users a whole host of adjustable properties to optimise for their personalised requirements.
